    We have a few things set up for Volunteer Week.

    • We have a branded picnic blanket that we are giving each volunteer with a note that includes "it's been no picnic here with out you. . ."  We are phasing volunteers back into service and will be giving the blankets to those who are here next week.  We will mail all gifts that haven't been picked up by the end of the week.
    • Individually packaged cupcakes for all volunteers.
    • Social media posts with photos of volunteers being celebrated on their first day back.
    • Departments have been encouraged to record welcome back messages that will be shared on social media and the electronic newsletter we send to volunteers.

    I hear some hospital are doing drive through pickup of meals.  

    We are sending a gift, a urL link message from the CEO, VS staff and some of our department leaders.  We also put together a small booklet of notes of appreciation that we ask staff to write to thank the volunteers to send with their gifts.

    Has anyone given any thought to Volunteer Appreciation Week - April 2021?  Due to gathering restrictions during COVID, we will not be hosting our traditional dinner.  We would still like to honor our volunteers in some way.

    Any ideas?
