Hey Everybody! I am searching for suggestions... I am having a hard time finding vendors for our hospital to have some pop-up sales. So many that we used in the past have retired or Covid really hurt their business and they do not do them anymore. We still use Collective Goods and (thanks to Alice's suggestion on one of the virtual lunch meetings) we will have Southern Clothing and More coming in February. Does anybody have any vendors that they would recommend for this? Our employees really liked the uniform, shoes, and sheet sales. I think a bag/purse/wallet sale might go well also. Please let me know any ideas or recommendations. Thanks so much, in advance!
Had a great conversation with Chase - he is working on a project/business idea to have a site that people who want to volunteer and managers/coordinators can use to recruit. It will be resemble "Indeed" for volunteers. He is looking for insight from our group. Please consider reaching out to him! Thank you, Nan Pate
Thanks again for the call - our discussion was super helpful! To recap: I'm an entrepreneur working on tools to help volunteer coordinators in healthcare, and I'd like to learn more about the role from practitioners at hospitals. Every hospital seems to operate a little differently, so I'd love to connect with coordinators in more facilities.
Do you know anyone that would be willing to take a few minutes to tell me about their work?
If so, happy to connect with them directly, or they can just grab a time on my calendar here:
Do you allow high school students to job shadow? If so, could you please share with me the enrollment and orientation materials and requirements.
Thank you, and I look forward to your reply.
If you have volunteers who operate a hospital shuttle or golf cart, are these volunteers allowed to operate these vehicles after a certain age? Our hospital risk management does not have an age limit. Thank you!
What is your process for volunteers for employee health requirements?
Do you require volunteers to have both TB screening and immunization records?
Does EOH handle this process completely or do you handle?
Where are the records kept that you do require?
We have our policy due and also need to standardize for all of our facilities.
Thanks for providing details on your process.

I am reaching out to any and all who facilitate the management of their hospital's gift shop(s). I would love some guidance surrounding floral vendors. It is time to renew our contract; however, we have been experiencing the following issues: Untimely deliveries, decline in floral arrangement quality and selection, pricing inconsistencies, prioritization issues, billing inconsistencies, etc. Please share any contract and process flow guidance you have in place that is working well for you. Contact: firstname.lastname@example.org
Many thanks in advance.
We are opening a new hospital. Instead of using a touch screen computer, I am exploring using an IPad mounted to the wall like in a doctor's office. Is anyone doing this? If so what are the pros and cons. Thank you. Melinda
I am looking for anyone who has had an Auxiliary in the past and has dissolved it into an Advisory Board or something of that nature? I think we may be at that point and just looking for ideas, thoughts on how to proceed, what our options are, etc.
Any input is greatly appreciated.
What are your greeters/screeners doing?
