Thanks for sharing ladies.  My hospital and county has been a hot spot.  There has not been any discussion to date on when we might start bringing them back in.   

Tina, could you share the new training guidelines your infection control leader is using?  I think that would be valuable information.

We started phasing ours back in on August 3rd.  We gave the volunteers a choice, and didn't pressure them to come back.  We only had a handful to return at first.  They were required to attend a training session with the Infection Control Practitioner, and we have lots of additional restrictions in place for them.  Of course, they are screened at the doors just as employees are, and they have to wear a mask and eye protection. We aren't using them at full capacity, and all "dirty" areas are off limits.  We have a few more returning next week to the day surgery area as well.  So far, things have gone well, and the volunteers are very happy to be back.
