What do you do for volunteers that work in ancillary areas and will not go to the cafeteria in your hospital for lunch?  I need ideas for what I can do for those volunteers in place of the free meal.

    Thank you

Alamance Regional Medical Center provides a free meal up to a value of $7.50 for every four-hour shift worked.  Volunteers are responsible for any amount over $7.50.

Our meal voucher program has a limit of $5.00.  Our volunteers are all very appreciative and I haven't heard any complaints from the volunteers or the cafeteria staff.

We do offer a meal voucher with a limit of $8.00. This amount allows the volunteers to purchase a meal, drink, and even dessert at our facility. Most do not go over the limit and if they do I have not had any complaints from them or from the Nutritional Services Staff working at the Cash Registers. It will take time for this new limit to become part of your group's culture as you already know change can be difficult for some.

Our facility provides a free meal in the cafeteria for volunteers that are on duty.  Recently, they have established a limit of $7.00 for the meal.  Some of the volunteers are upset, especially when they go over the amount and have to pay the difference.  Do any of your facilities impose a maximum dollar amount on volunteer meals?
